This perfectly matched set captures the character of the legendary SSS-style tone. This is the exact style of gear John Mayer uses. D-TONE AMPS recommends two Celestion speakers that work best with this type of setup: the G12-65 Heritage (very wide frequency range with a slightly scooped middle) and the G12H-75 Creamback (with a slightly rolled-off, rounded top end). WGS speakers are a great alternative: the ET-65 model is a great substitute for the G12-65, while the ET-90 is a 90W version of the ET-65. We recommend buying the head + cab as a set, because D-Style amps have a unique frequency response and do not pair well with many other cabs.
